It’s that time of the year again when we hear from Gatesy with his latest side project. We figured his Merch Corner jingle was appropriate given he is, in fact, selling himself.
18 June 2018
It’s Gatesy’s Merch Corner? And what is Gatesy selling? Himself of course… in his latest side project. Join us won’t you?

Yep Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra: you can get tickets now for 101 Hits – the show where we randomly select the set as we go from our new songbook(!) of the same name. It’s our 20th year, so you can expect anything from A Shandy Too Far to DILF, with a sprinkling of weird gems.
16 November 2015
Come and see Tripes and a bunch of great comedians to raise money to help get children out of detention. It’s a nuts lineup including Tom Gleeson and Lawrence Mooney – should be a great one.
21 October 2015
After months of clamping our mouths (it’s been hard) we can finally say what we’ve been doing. And you can get the soundtrack here!
13 August 2015
Here’s the This Gaming Life special the lovely Good Game people made. Geez they did a good job.
16 July 2015
As long time fans, we’re super stoked to be insinuating ourselves on these live shows. There will be a Spawn Point one in the daytime for kids, and then an adults only version at night. We will do some tunes. It will be a blast.
19 January 2015
If you’re a New South Welshman or woman, you’ll want to be joining us at Flix in the Stix. We’re doing some tunes, My Friend the Chocolate Cake will be too. And there’ll be a handful of award-winning short films from the U.S., the U.K. and Germany as curated by national treasure Deb Mailman. Really looking forward to performing (and then sitting back and watching) this show.
28 October 2014
We’re genuinely excited to announce our new show This Gaming Life. Yes, in the past we’ve touched on video games, but with this show we go in deep, real deep with the help of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Austin Wintory (Grammy-nominated composer for Journey).
25 November 2013
It’s not getting any less close to Christmas right? We three Tripods are very excited to be able to offer Men of Substance in now-retro CD format – a great gift idea.
12 August 2013
In case you’d missed it, we’ve been doing some shows with Eddie Perfect: singer/actor/writer/man extraordinaire. Melbourne and Brissie have had a taste of Perfect Tripod Australian Songs and Perth and Sydney follow this Aug and Sept.
22 June 2013
The Dragon (no relation to Tripod versus the Dragon) sees us playing the titular three-headed Dragon. We’re very excited to be titular in this new Malthouse play. It’s about a town that’s weirdly happy to be ruled over by a three-headed monster that demands yearly flesh payments.
17 May 2013
Men of Substance the Men of Substance is so very out. We just did the new single: The Blueprint on Adam Hills’ show
24 March 2013
We’ve recorded Quasimodo’s Dream with Gotye in support of SLAM.
14 March 2013
Yes, it’s time, Melbourne. We are deeply excited to be bringing Men of Substance to the Melbourne Intentional Comic Funfest. The last time we did it was with Tripod versus the Dragon, and we wanted to wait until, I mean work our asses off until, we had a show we really liked before we did it again. Men of Substance is that show.
3 December 2012
Only a month and a half, now Melbs, until we premiere Perfect Tripod at the Arts Centre. Check this out to see us talk about the process of picking the songs for the show.
14 November 2012
Men of Substance lands at your Opera House on the 3rd of Jan, and we couldn’t be more excited – except perhaps if we found out Disney were letting Joss Whedon direct the new Star Wars movies.
24 October 2012
Inspired by their celebrated rendition of Paul Kelly’s Meet Me in the Middle of the Air, the harmony supergroup that is Eddie Perfect and Tripod have re-united to craft a collection of vocal arrangements for two special nights at the Art Centre’s Playhouse next January.
